The family was present for annual Media Appreciation Day activities at the hospital, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Christine Fontenot Lynn, left, and her mother, Patricia Fontenot, participated Thursday in Media Appreciation Day at Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Fontenot was the first patient admitted to the hospital when it opened on June 6, 1983 as Woman’s Hospital of Acadiana. Lynn was born the same day, becoming the first of more than 75,000 babies to date to be born at Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
