A proven healthcare leader is expanding her reach within the Regional Health System of Acadiana.
Leona Boullion recently was appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Regional Health System, giving her administrative responsibility for both Women’s & Children’s Hospital and the Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.
“Leona is a long-term HCA and Women’s & Children’s Hospital employee with a wealth of hospital leadership experience. I am confident that her extensive knowledge of the hospital setting and guiding hand will help both hospitals continue to meet the ever-increasing needs and exceed the expectations of the Acadiana families we serve,” said Kathy Bobbs, FACHE, president and CEO of the Regional Health System.
Women’s & Children’s Hospital and the Regional Medical Center of Acadiana are part of The Regional Health System of Acadiana. The system represents a group of complementary and affiliated health care facilities, each associated with HCA Inc. (Hospital Corporation of America).
Boullion has been with Women’s & Children’s for more than 25 years. She served in various leadership roles for the hospital, including Chief Nursing Officer, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer and Ethics and Compliance Officer in 2009. She current serves as chair for the March of Dimes Acadiana Chapter Board of Directors and as a member of the HCA MidAmerica Division IT Governance Council.
Boullion received her Associate Degree – Registered Nurse from LSU-Eunice, a Bachelor of Science – Health Arts from the University of Saint Francis (Joliet, Illinois), and a Master of Science – Health Services Administration from the University of Saint Francis.
