Teaching Garden 2012

Nearly one in three American children and adolescents are overweight or obese.  

To address this problem and expand upon the Kids On The Geaux program, Women's & Children's Hospital partnered with the American Heart Association and sponsored a Teaching Garden at St. Pius Elementary School to help educate our children about healthy eating habits and where healthy food comes from.
