Family & Friends First Aid for Children

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday October 9 2013
Location: First floor classroom

This course is open to people who want to learn first aid basics. The program teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Child safety and injury prevention are also covered. At the end of class, infant CPR and relief of choking in an infant are taught using the American Heart Association’s practice-while-watching technique, with hands on CPR practice time. The class is offered every other month on Wednesday evenings.

Classes are free and held at Women's & Children's Hospital in the hospital classroom on the first floor.

From the main entrance of the hospital, on Ambassador Caffery, proceed straight to the rear of the hospital.  Pass the CC's Coffee kiosk and take a left. Take the first right down the administration hallway.  The classroom is on the right.

Register by calling 1-877-30-CARE-1 (1-877-302-2731) or online.
