Helping Children and Adolescents Cope with Aftermath of a Shooting

The results of a traumatic event may take days, weeks or even longer to surface. The National Child Traumatic Stress Network offers several tools to help parents and families heal in the aftermath.

In addition, Project L.A.U.N.C.H. (Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children’s Health) is a national initiative piloted through the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals that offers additional local resources.
